Henry and Becket
For the doctorate, I completed an opera based on King Henry II and Thomas Becket with
libretto by Anika Torruella, who also wrote the libretto for "Medusa."
The opera is scored for Tenor (Henry) and Bass-baritone (Becket), SATB chorus, and instrumental chamber ensemble.

Rhapsodies for alto saxophone and piano (2011)

In July 2012, Rhapsodies for alto saxophone and piano was premiered at the Saxophone Congress in St. Andrews, Scotland. The saxophonist, Evan Smith, commissioned the work after hearing my Three Melodies for Clarinet and Piano in May of 2011. The work will be recorded in October during a recital in Seattle, Washington. The piece uses a modified palindromic structure as its basis - hence the graphic to the left.
